Description: Aramis is quite handsome. He was gelded on the 9th of July 2007 and has recovered from the procedure. He is a picture of health and loves being groomed ( if his cousin Crystal will even let him get groomed). In this picture, Aramis is still shedding out his baby hair.

Description: Update from the foster 2/2008: Zafar is very friendly and plays well with others! I’ve had him out with a couple of geldings and though he likes to pick on them, being the youngster, they all get along. He’s had his feet trimmed regularly and stands well for the farrier. He leads well and knows to stop when the handler stops. He is, of course, always interested in feeding time. He’ll make a great gelding and a special friend for someone. He’s athletic enough to do hunter pleasure and pretty enough to do western. We’ve lunged him a few times but that’s about all we’ve had time for.

Description: Roman has been with USERL for almost 2 years now. He came to us straight from the race track and had his share of problems with abscesses in both front feet, plus a nasty infection to his right hind leg. With loving care from his foster home however, he has been abscess and infection free for 1 1/2 years now! He was sent for re-training so that he could learn how to be a pleasure horse, but was coming up lame on and off. We have had him x-rayed and found that he has a bone chip in his right knee. We are currently exploring the possibility of surgery to remove the chip, if our veterinarians feel it will improve his quality of life. He has been cleared for light trail riding when he's sound, and his foster home says he really enjoys going out for a nice hack! He is easy to handle and very laid back for a Thoroughbred. He does tend to be a dominant horse, especially in mixed company, but does well with just mares or just geldings. Do you have a spot in your heart for Roman? Located in Indiana

Description: Cooper is a 3 yr old Rocky Mt. Cross gelding. He is very affectionate with people and gets along great with other horses. Cooper would be ideal for a childs horse. He is working on ground manners and training and he has such potential. Cooper is gaited and is just over 14 hands. His personality is exceptional! Located in Kentucky

Description: Mystic is a beautiful black and white paint mare. She stands almost 14.3 hands tall and is approx eight years old. She requires an experienced confident handler because she is very shy and distrustful of humans. She is doing wonderful at her foster home where she's getting daily handling and love. She follows her foster mom around like a puppy. Mystic is not for a novice handler. She is especially distrustful of men. Up to date on all shots, deworming and farrier care. Our priority is finding Mystic a permanent home with someone who can work with her gently
