About Polo

The sport of kings and truly a spectators sport. Polo is a fast paced team sport which requires speed, agility, finesse and raw strength from both horse and rider. A team is comprised of four members who ride offense-defense positions during seven minute periods or “chukkas” . At world-class levels or "high goal" matches riders may use 2-4 horses per period as the speed is fast and horses are asked to perform many hard, fast starts and stops.

World class events such as the Argentine Open or Cartier Cup will leave spectators entranced, not only from watching riders such as Adolfo Cambiaso balance the ball on his stick at mock five but being immersed in an environment and lifestyle that is truly seductive to the senses.
